designer love: ABO and Ana Ljubinkovic

~ ~

There are no words to describe this perfection. Shoe perfection. I am in total awe with these shoes. Some might find them too colorful or not to feminine, but I don`t care, I just love, LOVE, LOVE them. These are made by serbian based designer collaboration between ABO and Ana Ljubinkovic (she is by far my favorite designer from exYu).

These beauties can be bought in Belgrade where Ana has her studio/boutique. And a pair (at least!) needs to be mine. I don`t even know which to pick first! I need help. Should I put it to a vote? Anyhoo, I was mesmerised by the design of the whole collection and can`t wait to get my hands on one of them. And you know how much I love man inspired shoes. You remember "the ugly shoe", right? And my recent purchase was no different - pure beauty.

This is her fourth collection and it contains 12 different designs. I really can`t decide which are more perfect. I know I sound like a child in a candy store, and to be honest I feel so too!

Currently craving - Green and gemstones

~ ~

Need I say more? These are pure perfection and no wonder I am a "shoe" person. Green and gems? Yes please. Although I should be looking for boots I am still not ready to let summer go.

New in - silver shoes

 silver shoes

I have a big love to manlike shoes. I just adore them. Also, I have a big love for shinny objects so it was only natural for me to buy this pair at F21 the second I saw them. I could wear them all the time. And the most fun part are the reactions of people around me asking why did I buy them. Because I liked them, of course. But they just don`t understand. I even got a new nick name - Spaceman.

Can`t wait to show you my all pink girl outfit paired with these! Wore it few days a go on a beer date with my hubby.
What can I say, I`m a sucker for the ugly shoe. Remember these?  I still can`t get over them.

Monsieur Louboutin`s calendar Fall 2014 - Surrealism or just plain nasty?

~ ~

How to even begin this post? With my personal statement on this subject or?

Lets start from the beginning. Yesterday Monsieur Louboutin`s calendar Fall 2014 look book came out. And everybody has an opinion on how gory or brilliant this is.

I came across this subject via Style.com where they, as I understood it, went on the pro side, mentioning their source of this hot potato theme - The Telegraph. Ms Kate Finigan took the other side of the road labelling the famous "shoe whisperer" and this look book revolting. But I did loved the mention of French photographer Guy Bourdin.

When I first saw the photos, I didn`t get upset or revolted. Maybe I should`ve?

To me these legs look more like they "came" from some mannequin than that the photographer and the designer in question wanted to present chopped off legs. Maybe I am wrong?

In all the media, first thing they mention (relating to this calendar) is Louboutin`s statement from 2011 how his shoes are not meant to be comfortable and how he hates comfort.. yadda yadda - we all know it. Well the guy needs to sell his story and his shoes and whether it is true or just good/quirky/revolting/smart/odd/surreal marketing trick - I don`t know.

I like this calendar. It is a bit quirky but it doesn’t make me sick. Should it? Am I insensitive of some bigger/social issue? I do see how some could bring this calendar into reference to amputation and disabled persons, but I don`t see blood or any indication of mutilation. We all have those finger-to-elbow-arm-shaped jewellery stands at home and nobody questioned manufacturers for their not so appealing products. OK, I am lying. I don`t have that thingy at home. I find it ugly and revolting, so there. Double standards.

From an aesthetic point of view, these legs are beautifully arranged in luxurious sets. The whole set/angle of the photo compliments the shoes and follows the whole story of high class merchandise.

Expensive. I wonder could I at least afford the boxes? or A box?

And in the end, I totally understand why he went this way. Maybe he did want to appal, draw more attention or whatever, or maybe that didn`t even crossed his mind; but I know this - seeing the product on "someone", or at least to see how a shoe fits and goes with the leg (foot, calf) is somewhat a defining and deciding moment for some buyers. Sometimes I see a shoe and it looks so ugly, but then seeing it on mine or someone else’s leg - it can be seen in a different light and look WAY better.

Then again, that can (and usually does) go the other way too.

What do you think?

wish right now

This is what I crave the most at the moment. This b&w brush stroke pattern full flare circle skirt from H&M to pair up with my Zara heels, which I love beyond words. I wear them as much as I can, but I know that I need to own this skirt to see these satin pumps in full bloom.

Can`t wait for that!

Craving for spring // spring inspired Fashiolista wishlist

Yes, you`ve read it right. I know it is middle of January and that spring is nowhere near to be seen, but I do crave for the seasonal change. Maybe it’s because it is unusually warm for January, all this sun and temperatures around 10°C made me think of spring. And spring inspired outfits.

What would I wear... if I felt a bit quirky

~ ~

This would be a perfect outfit for a Saturday morning stroll around city. I am in the mood for all those prints and patterns, a dash of quirkiness.

Shoe crush - Jennie Ellen

~ ~
Swedish designer Jennie Ellen is responsible for my current state of mind - trying to figure out how to rob a bank maybe, or, win the lottery, or find another way to get a hold of large sum of money that could buy me all these beauties.
And these are just "the top four". Oh, god I need a sugar daddy!

If I needed to pick just one pair, I don`t know what would I do. They are all so exquisite that that decision is very hard... The silver ones? But heeled little cows are sooo amazing. Its best then to have them all. MY precious!!! You can now imagine me drooling and shivering at the site of these breathtakingly beautiful pieces of art.

Oh, Santa? maybe? a late present? ... No? Well...

What would I wear - `tis the season edition

~ ~
Its a bit dark and edgy but stil has that Holiday flare, don`t you think?
I love unexpected, unusual and nontraditional choices in any occasion.
Although it is not your usual Holiday ensamble, it has some staples to spice up this edgyness even more.
And if you think these are over the top, yay, that is exactly what I was going for.

I just bought these beauties in Prague, where I am currently residing while on vacation.
They are no special brand/name but I love how they look,
stunning, right?

They feel nice, comfortable and above all so elegant and a bit sexy.
Perfect for any occasion!

Can't wait to wear them.

YSL vs SLP story returns

~ ~
Although I really liked YSL/SLPs initiative with M.Manson, I can`t say I have fully embraced their new logo. Seems a bit boring and un-inspirational.

The old one was recognisable through many years, trends and fashion stories and changing it ... I can`t say I understand why. Now its just another name tag.

As for shoes, here is my big YES for this pair. They are absolutely exquisite. And a bit devilish, don`t you think?
