DIY newspaper and Eiffel tower curtains

~ ~

Fabric is from eBay. Made by yours truly. I have more left for cute little cushins.
That was a great way to spend saturday evening.
I have another DIY ready to do, this one will be more fashionable. Let me just say - tartan and Mira Duma. Can`t wait!

Art report: ANIMALS IN HISTORY

~ ~

As a proud owner of two super crazy cats and a dog (which all have serious identity issues, but on that some other time) and an occasional artist wannabe I had to share this finding with you.

This is work of Christina Hess, an artist who "manages to blend the boundaries between animal portraiture and fictional painting", and does so, if I may say perfectly.

Rich in detail, perfect in her brush strokes, these surreal paintings assured her place in art history.

I absolutely adore the last two. Can`t decide which I love more.

Noteworthy design

Look at this design!
The colors, texture, craftsmenship... I am in love.

Want them all.

Read bellow everything you need to know about Niels Peeraer and his collection.

“Hua Dan” stands for a very lively character from Beijing Opera, standing for cuteness and innocence. “Calyx” is the supportive part of a flower carrying the petals. “Hua alos” means flower/blossom which is the main inspiration of the collection. “Kabuto” is used as a reference to the Japanese samurai head gear. “Hua Dan Calyx” was used by a young female character in Beijing Opera.

Check out his LOOKBOOK and new SS14 collection - its amazing and jaw-droppinglly beautiful. Esspecially the bow buckle bag M bicolor (photo #5).
